The range of OLED monitor choices has also expanded considerably. Buyers can now find conventional 27-inch models, 4K displays and large ultrawide screens, with both QD-OLED and other OLED panel technologies available. Current 2026 monitor testing shows OLED represented across numerous price, size and performance categories rather than only the extreme premium end of the market.
OLED is not automatically necessary for every computer user. A quality IPS monitor remains an excellent choice for everyday office applications, browsing and standard productivity. But for users who prioritize contrast, gaming performance, entertainment or creative work, OLED has become an increasingly compelling option when choosing a new display.
